I have a user with a 3GB quota on his network drive.

when the proerties of the network drive are checked for the user it shows less than 1GB. disk quota manager is showing as all 3GB used and will not allow the user to save any further files to his network drive.

also I have a 30GB quota set on my network drive (687MB used) but the quota manager is showing nearly 29GB used.

any idea's why this would happen??

Cheers

Are you talking about a user "share" located on a network drive? The drive that the share sits on may be using most of the space regardless of what is in the users shared folder....just a thought.

This is a user home folder (mapped drive that the user stores his personal data) as set up in AD.

Disk Quota is setup on the Disk Level. Then each folder within that disk is allowed individual limits; such as your users home folder. But if everyone is getting 3GB and you have 100 user folders with 3GB limit=300GB and this is located on a 100GB drive....then you see the delima. somewhere else on that drive, there are files eating up your space.
