Hi,
every time I load my data new from starting the crystal report, I get my number field format set to user defined, and I have to manually set it back to '-1123'!!! Can someone tell me how to keep this setting??
The data s coming partially from access tables and partially from linked tables from oracle which are also in the same access mdb...just in case that should be relevant.
Thanks 4 any help in advance!

Try setting your field format in file->options->fields->number->number tab.

yes, I just tried that..it didn't change anything. I have to select the fields together and then go to object format and do it there..
By the way, I tried your way from the subreport itself and when I was in the main report. no difference!

If you want this as a permanent option you must set before you start with a report

Open crystal go to file options and do your settings there
then create a new report. any other report from then on should have those settings, bear in mind that any previous report will not be affected.

Well.. no I mean that you don't(shouldn't) have to worry from now on

the reports already done might need some adjusting but once saved the formatting should be permanent.

Hi
I had a similar problem and I could solve it only formatting the fields separatelly. I don't know why

Once I did that, they kept the formatting
