User-created outline in WordPerfect 10

I'm getting an extra space in a user-defined outline. I'm looking to get a format like "9999-01" and have come close. In the Create Format window for outlines, I have "9999" in Text before box and "-1" in the Number/Bullet box and 1 leading zero, I get this:

9999 -01

If I put the dash in the Text before box ("9999-") and "1" in the Number/Bullet box (still with 1 leading zero) I get this:

9999- 01

I delete the spaces in the Create Format window, but each time I close the window, the extra space returns.

Can anyone help?
