User Changing the Password 1608 9630 phones

Is there a way user can change the login passwords of IP phones, instead of using the administrator password.

we have a problem users knows the default password which we created in the system , they just login diffrent extensions

it is creating problem

how to avoid this

pls advice

other than making each password, to each phone unique? nope..

you can do this via FAC. 'station security code change access code'
 
Instructions are:

Dial FAC.
Enter your extension followed by the # sign.
Enter your current security code followed by the # sign. You should now hear dial tone.
Enter your new security code followed by the # sign. You should now hear dial tone.
Re-enter your new security code followed by the # sign. You should hear conformation tone. 3 beeps.
Hang up.
 
also in 'cha sys sec' page 2. Set station security code for terminal self administration required to Y. Set minimum station security code length to what ever you want. I use at least 4.
