I have a user on ext 123 when ever he calls an ext. and gets the voice mail, he gets his voice mail. I have tried everything I could think of and no cigar. System is NEX 2000 IPS. Any one have a similar problem?

Thanks,

Dave.

I don't know it's an old NEC on an old OS/2 box.

Does a V100 make sence for the voice mail system?

The voice mail system is NEAX Mail AD-40. Does anyone know why one of my users gets their own voice mail when calling an in house extension and it rings over to the VM system?

I don't know the solution but I bet it has something to do with the MCI serial link message.

Does your AD40 use a com port to connect to the 2000? If so That is the MCI link. This allows users to call the voicemail and it knows who they are. Also controls message waiting lamps.

I think so... the VM system is in a tower that is behind my switches and wiring in the rack, but yes I dial 300 and it goes to VM and knows what extension ect. and I have the lights working correctly.

How would this keep my user from reaching outer users VM's?

Dave.

Try deleting the mail box for 123. Then see if it works and then add it back in as new.

So If i delete his mail box, then check from his extension to see if he can leave VM's when he calls other people?

Yes, that was the idea. See what happens, then add the mailbox back in and try again.

Well I tried that before but this time it worked. Don't know why but it did. Thanks for all your help.
