User Backup - Forwarding as a MP3 or WAV file

I created a separate user backup for one voice mail box. These messages are needed in a police investigation.

I created the backup to a network location and it created two files:

user_VMB_****radB5366 091221 1356.dat (8525 KB)

user_VMB_****radB5366 091221 1356.bkp (24 KB)

Are these files only readable / accessible within the Call Pilot Manager or can I convert / open them as a media file type?

I done in the past is Desktop Messaging (MY callpilot)is the easiest way to set up. you can install right on CP server and no reboot.

A back up is only good for restoring..

You must also be licensed to use the Desktop messaging. You can find out if you have licenses by going to System=>Server_Settings then select Resources from the "View Server Setting for: Drop down window. If you are you can save these recordings as a wave file.
