Hi all,

I would like to instill user and group accounts such that only certain users can edit the table.

Do I need to have to be an administrator to set up the accounts? I tried to do that but was prompt with a message that the object or database is read-only. We are sharing the database on a common drive.

Thanks all in advance.

If you have no user permissions set up at all I am pretty sure you have to open the database exclusively to set them up. This means you will have to ask the other users to stay out of the database while you make the changes then give them a username and password to get back in.

Thanks
Chris
