Good morning,

I hope you can help...

I have a customer with the following error.......
- when i go to save any changes within the user and device configuration, i receive the message

error during save - 'last index' is null or not an object

This happens if i try to make any changes, for example the name on the extension - however i can still change the name if i go into the telephone directory form.

Hardware and softwar: Mitel CX Controller MCD 5.0 SP2 PR1

Thank you, Andy

Does it matter which extension you try to make changes on?

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

If this is only for a particular number, you may have a special caracter on a label of your key (é-ç....)

You may change it with the multiline set key assignement only if it's your case, then you will be ok.

Hi LoopyLou, yes this happens on any extension - even if you open the user and dont make any changes..... then select save you get the same response.

P011406, I'll check the line keys to see if there is anything untowards

Sorry i forgot to mention, this error only shows on the User and Device Configuration together with a red cross.

I get a green tick for both the Voice Mailbox Configuration and the Keys

I recently had something similar that required a system reboot to correct.

Hi kwbMitel,

I tried a reboot and that didnt work either.

Save and restore would be the next option.

Was thinking it was a 5000 for some reason, disregard my previous post...

Can you delete an extension and re-create it again? Then try to edit and save?

Don't confuse DTMF with DTF. They have very different meanings....

Hi Guys,

I have tried to add a new extension (get the same error) I have also tried to delete and add the same extension (get the same error)

Looks like we are going to need to backup the system and do a restore.

Yes, something is hinky in your database. You might want to take the opportunity to see if the is a newer load of MCD 5 and upgrade so its not an entire waste. Would even consider MCD 6 if you don't have to do a bunch of Apps like UCA at the same time.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Hi LoopyLou,

I was thinking the same - will look at upgrading the software to MCD6

Thanks for your help,

Andy

Personally, I would not be trying to convert a database that is known to be flawed.

I would only upgrade if I knew the database was clean.

But that's me.

Agree with kwbMitel, I've tried to fix a 3300 db corruption by upgrading and it was a waste of time.

Was this migrated to SDS in the past? I have seen this once before after a conversion and when I looked at the tables in VX works for some reason it did not generate a GUID for the extension. To Fix I went in, changed the extension, saved and then changed it back. This works ok if you are not using embedded voicemail. If you have embedded it will reset all the greetings and messaged on the mailboxes.
