On the windows platform, we were able to create user accounts so they had access to what we determined ie; Speed Dial list, this would only allow then access to this area.

I do not seem able to set up the same on the version 4 system.

Has anyone ever been able to do this?

u can create a user profile and limit access to some things but not in the same way as 3.x. When u create a customer user account u choose if it will full admin rights, or access to only vmail, or just voice admin (allows user to us EM), etc.

If my customers are only using telset programming, I choose 1002 & 1004. I believe that's system coordinator and vmail access.

I personally liked the old way myself as we could pick and choose what they had access to.

Thanks Dasheen,

If I give them just 1002, all it gives them when they log in is a folder for Administrator Access.
If I give them 1002 and 1004, apart from the above it gives them a folder for Applications with access to voicemail.

I shall play about a bit more on this and post my findings.

Thanks

I believe 1002 & 1004 is for telset access. Use "Voice Admin" for element mgr access.
