Hi im new to using vb.net, but im trying to write a program to copy some files from a usb stick to a windows vista machine. The problem is that the User Account Controls keep getting in the way. I was wondering if there is a way to turn the UAC off for a few seconds then turn it back on, or is there an easier way to get around it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Simon

As far as I know you cannot. That was the whole point of the UAC. There maybe some reg change or some 3rd party by pass (or I could be wrong), but as far as I've seen there is nothing you can do.
