Hello,
I've always been writing my own tools for finding and comparing tools but there's a goodie done already for you: it's called 'pbl peeper' and can be found and downloaded on:
don't know too much about how to use it but there's documentation also. it should do version comparisons, search features, "repeated objects" throughout diferent libraries, etc. Might just come in handy.
There are more tools like this, but this one is free. Even powerbuilder used to como with the 'advanced toolkit' which has crossreference tools etc. For the newer versiones they stopped shipping these tools, but still you can download the sourcecode of the advanced toolkit from
