Usedrange coming up as wrong size

Hi,

Why is the usedrange of a workbook often bigger than where the last filled cell is? If you clear everything why is it still there? Why do you have to delete rows?

Known issue with this in excel - this is why there are 2 seperate FAQs for finding the last row / cell

Hi,

You have discovered a seeming flaw. We have at least one FAQ posted about this. Just know that UsedRange will not gie reliable results on a sheet that has had rows cleared rather than deleted.

Next time the workbook is opened, the UsedRange will be reset.
