Hello Folks,

Quick Question: Have the option to purchase used software to upgrade my 81C to current. Would like to know what is recommended?

Options are: 6.0, 7.0, 7.5.

Let me know if any issues or licensing changes with any releases to avoid. I will be adding a Call Pilot rel 4.5 so it will need to work with it.

Thx

I don't think your call pilot will work, from memory Call pilot needs to be Rls 5 from Cs1000 Rls5 & up. Other than that go for the most recent as it will still have patches & updates written should you have any issues.

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

What rls are you now because there could be some hardware involved also.

Also if it's used you need to make sure you can register it to you otherwise I don't think will get any support if needed.

Purchasing the software is one thing. Making sure it has all the right packages to run Call Pilot are another. Check the Call Pilot Planning and Engineering NTP and it will tell you what packages are needed to support Call Pilot 4.0. As KCF stated, there is no 4.5. Call Pilot can run on 25.40B if the right packages were purchased. Hawks is also correct. You need to execute a Software License transfer with Avaya. Same as the old process with Nortel. They have the same document you fill out. I think they charge $150.00 to do this, but in the event you want to upgrade later it will help.
