Use Tiger DVD from Desktop on MacBook Pro?

I have a decomissioned Intel Desktop Mac that came with Tiger DVDs.

I also have an Intel Mac Book Pro.

Can I use the Tiger DVDs that came with the former machine on the laptop?

You can certainly try. The installer will tell you up front whether it will work.
