Hello all,

I have a x-lite phone on my laptop and also a desk phone. Both have extensions set up in a Mitel 3300 system. My issue is I would like both phones to ring if either extension is dialed. I am going to set up a ring group to see if that will solve the problem.

Is there a better way?

Thanks..

Personal ring group.

When Master is called you can ring both.

I'm not sure if you can designate both as masters with the other as slaves though.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

No, but you can make the group all busy when one busy or not, so even if engaged on a call the other phone will will if you set that to no. Obviously set to yes will make the group busy if just one member of the group is busy.

As other stated the personal ring group is the answer. I used it myself with the Bria SIP clinet on an itouch.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Thanks for the advice everyone... looks like I will be setting up a personal ring group tomorrow.

LoopyLou, I like your UPD/TCP joke..hope you don't mind if I use it.

Don't mind because I borrowed it from someone else.
