I have a sbs 2k3 primary dc with exchange.
also have a windows standard 2k3 that is on the same domain.
AD is sync'd between these 2 servers.
Some of my users log on to the windows standard 2k3 server.
Thier profiles arent being synced anywhere right now.
(people logging into the sbs 2k3 profiles are sync'd to the sbs 2k3 server)
What i want to do, is people logging into the windows standard 2k3 server to have thier profiles sync to a samba server we have. The samba server is not on the domain.
Ive tried several ways to do it, but Im not sure it can be done without being on the domain because roaming profile wants the folder it is syncing to to have permission ownership of the user or the administrative group of that computer...cant give the domain user ownership of that folder since the samba is not on the domain....
any ideas other then adding teh samba to the domain?
