Use Polycom 500D conf phone with Option 11C

I have some Polycom Soundstation Premier 500D conf phones set up on my Option 11c switch. The extensions they use have to be configured as M3902 desksets for these to work. I've done that and they do work, however with a couple of problems. First, when initiating a call to my company's west coast office, the automated attendent picks up the call and says you can dial the 4 digit extension number at any time. When you dial it, the first digit is dropped and you get an invalid extension message. I'm trying to find out what model switch is at the remote end but I know it is a Nortel. Is there a way to intercept the attendent and drop down to a place where all 4 digits are recognized or any other way to get around this? The second problem I think is localized to my installation. I'm unable to dial calls to overseas numbers, such as the UK. The digits are not all accepted. In either case, if I do either of the above with a Meridian M3902-3903-3904 deskset it works fine. Ouch, these things cost about a grand apiece and when this stuff happens, the chickens come home to roost on my head ;-( Any help would be appreciated and thx......Jeff

Is it always the first digit that drops - maybe you could just dial an extra digit.

To get around the AA - you would have to dial a direct number either to a live body that could transfer you or directly to destination.

You could setup a speed call list for your international calls.

I'll try the extra first digit, sounds like a good idea. I can get around the AA, just more of a pain for silly executive users.
