I have used the [Me] variable to filter lists so that a user will only see items flagged as his. But this only seems to work when you compare with fields that are defined as a lookup in the Site Users list.
If I create my own lists and enter the same Display name of users in a separate field and compare with [Me], then it doesnt work.

The reason I want to use my own lists is that the Site users list can become very long if a lot of people av read access. And if you have tasks to assign to people then you dont want that list to contain hundreds of peolpe if only 10 of them are relevant.

Does anyone know exactly what it requires to get an exact match with [Me] ?
