Use of time dimension table in the report

I have 2 tables(1st_table,timetable).The time table has trow_id,MM_Start_date,MM_END_Date, QQ_St_dt, QQ_end_dt.. (where I have the dates from 1995).Two tables are joined by trow_id, One date field (closed) is there in the 1st table.My requirement is in the report it will ask the user whether it is a monthly or Quarterly Or Yearly Report. In the reporI want to select all the objects from my 1st class where closed between MM_Start_date and MM_END_Date.

i am new to BO and i am not sure whether my requiremnet is clear enough to understand.Pls help me ,if needed any clarification on this then ask me.Hope to get help from someone....
