Use of System Restore

I'm running XP Home SP3.
I went to install Microsoft Expression Studion 4 Web Trial and it required me to install MS .NET Framework. I installed both programs but then found that I was unable to launch my WampServer. System Restore reports 2 Restore points for the changes as "Installed DirectX".
Should I uninstall the two new programs before using System Restore or just proceed with System Restore with the programs installed?
I would like my WampServer back.

The system restore will take care of that for you. Just run it and roll back to the date before the first recent change you did. Hopefully your system restore is not corrupt. You never know until you try to run it.

A reinstall of your WampServer may of fixed the issue though...
