Hi

Does anybody knows if it is possible to use the symbol * (start) and # (hash), used normally to activate a service code, as part of a dialled number.
In my case, I have a customer that would like to have identical dialing method between Alcatel PBX and MD110 for common abreviated number such as :
*123 = translated number

Best regards

You can always try A instead of * and B instead of #.
That works in DNASUITE.

You can set individual abbreviated dialing as **1-9.. obviously this would only give you ten numbers and it would have to be done for every extension.

Don't think that the NADAP will allow you to program "*123" as an ABB DIAL.

I have already propose this individual abbrivaited method, but it is not an acceptable solution solution.
Does anyone have requested the use of * or # as part of dialling number, whatever it is, defined in the NA series for EX, ED, EC, LC, AC ?

Hi, star and hash is only possible for the service code, there is 3 numbser analyse, 1 for extension, operator, trunk, 1 for incoming trunks call ( OD ) and 1 for service code and it's only possible to use star/hash in this one. But maybe someone have a spc. patch solution which I don't known about.

I have a solution

Example :
[tt]
<adcdp:abb=1201;
COMMON ABBREVIATED DIALLING FACILITY DATA
ABB TRA CLASS NPRES
1201 00298565336 0123 0

END

<nutrp:entry=a201;
NUMBER CONVERSION DATA
ENTRY CNVTYP NUMTYP ROU TARDST PRE TRC NEWTYP CONT BCAP HLC
A201 4 1 1 0
END
[/tt]

This programmation give the possibility to dial from an DTS *201 and with the nutri command, it is translated to the common abbreviated 1201
