Hi

Just got hold of three Equalogic PS200 SAN units. Trying to go through and test and define policies for these units.

I have a brief idea about snapshots, clones and replication but wanted to checkout experienced users/implementers.

Snapshots - Good for point in time freezes in data. I thought that I would use these for protection before software upgrade and to perform intermedary backups.
Clones - Standard Image rollouts and to recreate systems for our develope team
Replication - data protection to remote sites and possibility of using remote server access/volume mounting.

Can anyone help to focus me on other aspects/usage of snapshots, clones and replication.

Thanks
Si
