I would like to use ORADoc as field type to put any document(.DOc,PDF,Image, sound etc)
How to install? where i will get the clear steps with example? I am using Linux 7.3
Is there any simple book for intermedia?
I have gone through OTN.oracle.com documentation but could not found the proper plugins ,steps to follow etc
Thank you all in advance

You have to install Oracle Text as part of the installation
process. You can add it at any time using the universal
installer.

This will create the CTXSYS schema.

You can then create Oracle Text indexes on the colums you want to index, usually either varchar2, or clob data.

You can get the full Oracle Text indexing docs
on tahiti.oracle.com

a basic index is created like so (this is for a ctxcat index)

create index index_name on table(column)
indextype is ctxsys.ctxcat
paramters(...) -- index parameters set up prior
