Hi Everyone,
I would like to use the mouseover event to move to that record on a continuous form. The reason being so that the tooltip changes to display informatio about that particular record and not just the record that the cursor is in. Would anyone have any advice?

Thanks in advance,

GPM

The MouseMove event for a given control is just that, for a given control. On a Datasheet View or Continuous View form, Access has no way of knowing which particular instance of that control the mouse is hovering over, and a ControlTipText based on the value of a control will show the value based on the control on the record that is current, not on the one the mouse is hovering over.

Hi all of you!

I would also be interested in a solution for the same thing.

Is there REALLY no solution for this?
maybe someone of the experts here, can figure out something... let's us not give up...

I think it would be something like to capture which record is currently in the same position that the mouse pointer is...

hoping for some good advice

I am kind of confused. I posted a working solution to this problem in your previous thread705-1530305. I also links to show you why this is an issue, and some very nice solutions using the API. So what are you expecting to get. "Mouseover" in a native Access form? Not sure if that exists in Access 2007, but it does not exist in any prior version. Also do not post a new thread on the same topic. It loses all the prior discussion. Just add a new discussion and it will come to the top of the list.

This appears to work fine for me.

If there is a problem with the functionality then say that in the original thread, no need to start a new thread.

I apologize for the rant GPM, now I see what happened. I thought you were reasking the question, but that is not the case. The solution I posted was in your other post, and this one came back to the top when Jamaarneen added to the thread.

Jamaarneen, see the attached solution or the other thread. The solution works fine, but the API solutions in the original thread are worth a look at.

Hi MajP,
No problem, I made the initial mistake by posting it in the wrong forum in the first place. I'm just glad Jamaarneen got a chance to see your solution.

cheers,

GPM

Thank you both, and sorry, I didn't realised that there is another thread on this topic.

All the links seems to be helpfull. I think I'll use the one from 4shared
