Hi,

I use truss in a process and I have a line 'fsync(3) = 0' with a delay. How can I use lsof to find the file used in fsunc?

Thanks,
George

IMHO I think 3 is a file descriptor that has been openned (or defined) by the truss command! so it is only relevant in the truss context!

Try to search the truss ouput for the number 3 and see its first occurence! you might have the file name already specified there!

Regards,
Khalid

Hi. Thanks for your reply :)

I find out that it is relevant. I used ncheck command and I locate the filename. Btw the file is related to the transaction journaling of the database we use and that's why it tries to sync.
