This is a similar question that was discussed in this thread ..
thread463-667254 don't want my users to have to do anything with their machines to surf the web while connected to the VPN. I'm using Windows 2000 Server as my VPN machine, and would like to have the gateway on the server allow users to browse the internet using it's connection when a user is connected. The problem is that I have no idea how to do that. Any advise would be appreciated.

Do you have a proxy server (isa)? That would be the easiest thing to do. Or, you can mess with NAT and VPN in win2k server.

Hi trailman73. Unfortunately I don't have a proxy server.

Can you recommend how I would start setting up NAT or the VPN in win2k (or maybe you have a good link?). I've been searching the web and I can't find any info on doing something like that.

I've just read that NAT for win2000 does not support incoming PPTP connections. Are there any alternatives? I can't believe something this basic hasn't been a big issue with many people.
I don't know why I used the word "gateway" in my original post. I have the win2000 server going straight to the dsl modem.
