use facts from one query in another

I created a report with report studio. There is query A which selects my data.
I have another query B which selects detail data - both queries are joined via the Master-Detail-Relationship.

I want to insert a calculated item (into the main query and main list) which references to a column/fact (e.g. a sum) from the detail-query.

Is this possible?
