Hello All,

I'm fairly new to Citrix and theres something I can't get my head around.

We've got a published application that is working well, but the application likes to output data to Excel and produce graphs.

The blades do not have Excel installed, but the remote clients do.
Can I configure it so that when the server-side application wants to push data to Excel, it uses the client's excel ?

The way I see client redirection is that it associates a client-side filetype with the server-side application.
But, in this case I seem to need something else.

Thanks for any help!

Is there any reason why you don't want to install Excel on the Citrix servers?

Applications starting other apps on the Citrix servers is generally the best way to deploy solutions such as yours.

licening-cost ?

But, just received notice we'll be using some company corporate license to install the whole office suite.
Praise be

You can actually get away with having a copy of Office on a Citrix server and locally on a PC (when it is the same user using both) without needing the 2nd license.
