Ever wanted to show multiple pivot tables on 1 sheet for analysis but couldn;t because of the danger of them overlapping when refreshed or when options are changed?

This link has the answer:
nifty camera usage

Baically, you add the vastly underrated camera tool to your quick access toolbar

Set up a dynamic named range that incorporates your pivot table

Take an initial picture of the pivot table

Overwrite the cell references with the dynamic named range

Now when your pivot table changes size, your picture will change size with it

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Geoff,

Great tip from down-under!

Have you considered making it an FAQ?

Hey skip - for sure...but that needs a little more care and attention so thought I'd pop it up as a tip initially and see how it was received

Geoff,

I love the camera tool and use it regularly in my Bird Watcher spreadsheets but I NEVER thought of using it this way. Now I must play with it some more!!

Thanks for the post and link.

Interesting... when I want multiple pivots on one page I just save them with a column or two between them.
This Camera tool mystifies me (surprise) I'm going to check it out...

Thanks Geoff (down under?) Oh I can almost hear your accent <Swoon> LOL

The problem with the "column between" solution is that if you have months as column headers or if you want to do slice and dice analysis you can't tell how many extra columns you need. This solution allows you to have pivot tables on different sheets but view them together on one
