I want to be able to use an SQL String in a dlookup function, but how would I do this? Dlookup("[outputfield]","sqlstring","criteria")?

i dont you can use a sql string but you can create a query and use the query name
if you want your query to be dynamic do this
dim mydb as databsae
set mydb=currentdb
mydb..querydefs("queryname").sql="select........from table where.....;"
Dlookup("[outputfield]","queryname","criteria")?
