IS there a was I can copy an existing report to be a subreport? I have several reports that I now want to print together for a single client at a time, I think the easy way would be to take my individual reports and make them subreports of a new report that pulls the whole thing together by specified parameter fields.

Or, am I barking up the wrong tree?

Thanks for any help.

Go to Insert > Subreport, then pick the 'Choose a Report' option and browse to the report you want to add as a subreport.

I've done it and it works fine. Under Windows NT, I did get a little trouble with names and got into the habit of giving the imported report a distinct name. This may no longer be necessary: Crystal is much more reliable under XP, but it is a wise precaution.

Another thing to watch out for. When you make a parameter link from the main report, this gets automatically placed in the record selection. Which is mostly just what you want, but you need to check and replace the statement if it does not suit.

Watch out when you import those subreports. Make sure you do it from a local copy, in case you don't have the appropriate CR or CE/RAS patches installed. See faq149-5356.
