I have a USB powered Logitech QuickCam (I think it’s a 2000) that is currently plugged into a USB port on my PC. I also have a wireless router connected to the PC.

Each year a couple of Swallows nests in our garage to rear their young. This year if it is possible, I would like to set up the camera in our garage to watch the hatching and rearing of the young.

The garage is situated approximately 10 to 20 feet from the computer and the computer is on the first floor of the house.

Is it possible to link the computer in the house with the camera in the garage using wireless connectivity. Obviously the camera will require a power source.

If this possible, what will I need to achieve this and if not why can it not be done?

Thanks,

Tom.

Thanks for the tip.

I have since purchased a Logitech Wireless WebCam QuickCam Cordless through ebay.

I'm still none the wiser as why this cannot be done using my original camera though.

Thanks again.

Tom.
