I am seeing more and more usb jump drives not being recognized by windows xp. I have working with 2 usb drives. a Lexar jump drive and a Swissbit jump drive. I get 2 different results on the same computer. When placing the Lexar into the usb port nothing happens. I search for new hardware and no new hardware is found. This system will not see this drive. Then when placing the Swissbit usb drive in the usb port windows will see it, but does not recogize it. Has anybody seen this before?

If life knocks you down, get back up and live.

Some USB 2.0 devices will not be recognized at all, or properly, in a USB 1.1 port.
This used to be uncommon, but it is becoming increasingly common as USB devices become more complicated.
