Since upgrading to XP, my USB external soundblaster extigy has horrible crackling and popping. I downloaded the firmware/software upgrade patch from creative and installed as directed and got these results. I've since uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers with no luck.
Searching the Creative Knowledge base doesn't come up with anyting more than try a different usb port if it's a hub or plugging direct to the machine, which i've tried with no luck.
anyone else have this problem and fix it? have always loved the extigy but this is a friggin' deal-killer !!!
