USB selective suspend setting

Hi all

Just installed a new wireless keyboard/mouse set badged Microsoft for a client.

All is well until the pc enters its power saving mode and the USB connection is lost.

Would I be right in disabling the 'USB selective suspend setting' to prevent this happening?

If not, what alternatives are there?

This article mentions USB settings and setting the USB selective suspend setting to Disabled, it seems to be more in relation to Hibernation problems than USB Power problems.

Thanks for your reply and link.

There does seem to be a lack of clear advice from Microsoft on this issue.

However the good news is that for wireless deskset/mice, it seems that simply disabling the 'USB selective suspend setting' works consistently and gives constant access to such USB devices.
