Working with PIII/XP PRO SP2, few months ago our two MP3

players did work OK, now once I connect the MP3 player I

can see in device manager that the player is recognized

how ever only for 30 seconds after there is a driver

problem. (yellow exclamation sign). However during the 30

seconds explorer doesn't recognize any player. The Philips

rush player should be standard in XP. The player does work

on my portable PC.Any suggestions? taking out all devices

does lead for recognition for 30 seconds nothing more.

Go into device manager and remove ALL USB references. Reboot, and Windows will re-install the drivers. Do the reboot with all the USB devices un-plugged. After re-boot, try with only the MP3 players installed. If OK, plug other devices back in one-by-one.

Hi Micker377
thanks for the reply I tried it out and it worked, however as soon as I add the usb-ADSL modem, the MP3 doesn't work anymore as initial problem. For the time being I have to get the modem out before using the MP3, not practical, but working. And that is already better than before. Is this due to a bad USB hub, both USBs are in the Hub.

Thanks for your help sofar yet
