Server :- Metaframe XP FR2 SP2
Client :- Windows XP Pc with localy attached HPLJ1000 using a USB port.

When the user logs into XP server the redirected printer is autocreated in their session. However, when the user attempts to print to the printer an error message appears
There was an error printing the document "doc name" to \\CLIENT\...... pritername

When I look through network neighbourhood to view the available devices (drives etc) available on the client no printer is shown, just com1, com2, LPT1 and the local drives.

Does there have to be USB support software installed on the server ? What am I doing incorrect ?

Any help would be appreciated

Regards

Darragh

Most USB printers are supported by Citrix. However, the LJ1000 is not one of them. Check the following link to see which printers are supported.

If that link doesn't work for you, go to hp.com. Follow the links to Support. Click on "Search" and search for:
"laserjets" + "terminal servers". (Type it in exactly). You should find a document listing all supported printers.
