I have just encontered this issue. Is there not a work around?

Or does anyone know of text file viewing/printing program that supports ASCII format characters?

There is not native support for USB in MS-DOS, but the Panasonic drivers do work. I just redid the links and descritpion on Tek-Tips recently: thread750-818421
