I have an computer with SCO Open Server 5.0.6 (mainboard EPOX CU-133A, chipset Via Apollo 133A). I want to install a printer (Lexmark T620) to USB port. How?

I try myself to install USB mouse.
The only mouse 5.0.6 offers was some "trackboul".
And it do not work at all.
I decided, that SCO 5.0.6 is again 3-4 years behind the
desktop HW. Nowadays it is hard even to find optical mouse with PS/2.

So I doubt SCO OS will drive USB printer.
Sorry !

My problem is even worse.
I can not find Ethernet PCMCIA card for HB Omnibook and SCO 5.0.6. I tried 9 (nine cards !).
What to do, SCO OS is mostly server system :(
But i'm optimistic. We have much serios problems and
all of them was solved !

Cheerio

I believe that alot of the device driving that is usually hardcoded in parrallel printers are also thrown in software driving on usb's now.

Therefore you'd need drivers to run on SCO to control the printer.

You could use SAMBA on SCO or a remote print server on windows to use a windows machine that can handle the driver.

Or just buy a decent printer.
