Ok,

This is a strange situation i seem to have come across. It appears as though none of my usb ports are recognized/work in windows unless i first boot into Redhat 8.0 with a device such as a mouse plugged it one of them and then exit and boot into windows. And then only that port will work in windows. In other words if i unplug my mouse and plug it into a different USB port it won't work. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If it works in Linux but not in Windows, this sounds like a Windows problem to me.

I recommend you post the question in one of the Win32 fora.

dont know but could it be that they need to be setup in BIOS?

These ports worked without a problem before I installed Linux on my desktop. I'll make a posting in the Windows forum.

Thanks
