Hello.

Finally I installed mandrake 10.1 and my USB optical mouse does not work.
During installation, it works fine, but when booting for a normal session, it does not work at all. I have tried the generic USB/PS2 mouse driver and the generic USB driver and the specific Microsot Explorer 5 buttons driver (My mouse is a Microsoft Explorer with 5 buttons) and nothing works.

Doing the google shows that this is a common problem; Optical USB mouses does not seem to work well in Mandrake 10.1
The various people affected have solved it in many different ways: One has solved it by changing BIOS configuration, Other simply changed the port in wich the mouse was plugged, Some people talks abuot the ACPI configuration, and another one downgraded the security level.

Does anyone have an insigth of this issue?

Thank you all.

Polu.

The only issue that showed up was that the mouse wasn't working - but after rebooting with a ps/2 and a usb mouse, they were all working and hotpluggable
