I have a Microsoft Optical Wheel Mouse that works fine in windows but unfortunately it doesn't work in my Mandrake 9.0 installation. I'm using an IBM R31 ThinkPad. If anyone knows how i can get my mouse to work i would greatly appreciate your help.

P.S. The trackpoint on my laptop is always jumping around in Mandrake. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

Thanks
Mike

probably wrong drivers for the pad. The USB has to be compiled into the kernel or the module loaded at startup. I don't know Mandrake or I would give you the context.

enabling USB mouse in the BIOS may also help.. if your BIOS supports that parameter...

good luck...
