Looking for a USB modem for a Windows 7 laptop to remote into a CS1000 rls 4.5. Any recommendations?

Manhatten 56k usb Windows 10 have good expierences

I was given a HIRO V.92 56K USB modem. Was able to connect but was getting garbage using putty. Any thoughts?

if you are getting garbage, you probably have the wrong baud or stop bits. check you setting on the modem. and the terminal type.

I currently use a Windows XP desktop with internal modem. Trying replace it with a Windows 7 using a USB modem. Ive been able to connect using the xp machine to a us robotics modem at the switch end successfully. When I go to use the 7 laptop and USB modem, I connect but only receive a bunch of o’s when I type. I’ve changed the settings on the putty connection but still get the o’s.

I know an note that this type of modem has problem with 64 - bit OS
