I need to protect my network by setting any USB drives ( HDD, memory stick, camera etc ) to read only. I've found a reg edit to disable them, but read only is more difficult.
Does anyone have a regedit to fix this ?

That sounds like something that could be done fairly easy with Group Policy applied to hardware. Try reposting in the server section ie: W2003; W2008; etc.

and a simple reset with a LIVE LINUX CD or bootable USB stick, will make all that to > NIL ...

so do not forget to lock down the BIOS either, if you do not want anyone to access the the USB as a boot device, and remove the CD ROM from the BOOT order...

Only ask questions with yes/no answers if you want "yes" or "no"

Thanks, Guys. The reg hack is just what I need.
