Hi, I have a USB memory stick and I use it often to save or transfere data. The other day suddenly when I tried to double click to open it from MyComputer I get a message saying "Please insert a disk into drive G:.". Now my data is stuck in the USB disk. I would appreciate if someone can tell me how to access the USB disk again.

Thanks

or even another USB port?

Ben

Yes! I tried with different USB port and different computers.

Thanks

First of all... try chkdsk'ing the drive. If that doesn't work, you can give TestDisk a shot (beautiful software - works best in Linux, but there is a Windows version as well).

ChkDsk:
If your drive is given the drive letter g:,
Start > run > cmd.exe
type chkdsk g: /r
wait a while

win.

If not win, fail...

Testdisk:
