USB Memory Drive

Hi,

Does anyone know how I could possibly prevent .exe files etc from being run on a memory drive. We are a school and find them incredibly useful for the students, but we have some who use them to play games with.

Everything I have looked at talks about disabling - which isn't what we want, or 3rd party tools.

I have also read that it may be possible through group policy. Does anyone know if this is the case and how?

as a starting point. You basically need to go into the Software restriction policies in Admin Tools/Local Security Settings
