The USB Mass Storage and PCI Modem devices are both bugging me after doing a clean install of WinXP.

USB Mass Storage on start up comes up with "it is okay to remove this hardware". PCI Modem wants to install itself, but can't seem to find itself. I don't use the modem since I have cable and have disabled it. Still does it on reboot.

Just annoyances no real issue on performance. Any assistance would be appreciated.

You need to update the USB drivers for your motherboard or card, which ever you are using.
Goto the manufacturers website & download them. If you aren't using the modem, disconnect it, as it will be using system resources.
