I have a Compaq Prosignia Workstation PII - 350 with two USB ports. Both ports are available and functioning. I purchased a SONY DSC-S70 Digital Camera with all the bells and whistles and love the camera, however, computer is supposed to add an additional REMOVABLE DISK DRIVE to my drives under my computer which is actually the Smart Card Removable Memory Module in the camera. The computer finds the USB device, and lists the USB DEVICE under Disk Drives in the Device Manager with no errors. It also lists the USB ROOT HUB, SONY USB, etc under USB CONTROLLERS in the Device Manager also with no conflicts or errors. I have an internal ZIP drive by IOMEGA and the Sony Tech Support suggested removing the drive completely to resolve the problem. Has anyone else heard of this problem?? Sony claimed that the camera couldn't assign a drive letter because of the ZIP removable drive. I do use the ZIP drive frequently and don't want to remove it from my computer. I even used END TASK to stop everything but SYSTRAY and EXPLORER from running and attempted to see if I could refresh the DEVICE MANAGER and see the drive that way and no luck. Thanks for your help. JUST REALIZED I forgot to mention the ZIP DRIVE is an INTERNAL IDE and not a USB external. Keith Buchanan
