Is it worth paying double for a "proper" call-centre standard headset with noise-cancellation and protection or can I get away with a decent USB PC Headset?

If I ask my GN Netcom/Plantronics supplier I know what they will say. So does anyone have practical experience of using a PC Headset for example:

This could save us thousands, but is it false economy?

Cheers,

Ronster

If in the UK (and I guess much of the deveoloped world), you'll leave yourself wide open to lawsuits if you do not use proper headsets.
They MUST have have AntiShock and noise cancelling is highly recommended.
If you don't and someone suffers a loud volume or high pitch sound (very, very easy through a pc) that causes hearing damge, or causes damage over a prolonged period, then say goodbye to your savings.

Only the truly stupid believe they know everything.

Thanks Stu,

Since posting this I have been doing some more research. The samples here are very convincing. BE CAREFUL WHEN LISTENING. I used my headset but didn't put it on my head. [bigears]
This will give me some clout to get my boss to pay up for the GN Netcom headsets I recommended.

Cheers,

Ronster
