I have recently started to research the use of external USB hard drives with our current backup operations. We're become unsatisfied with the speed of our backups coupled with random media errors as of late.

Our server is a few years old and I did not want to add a new USB 2.0 PCI in order to spread out the load across the network and other hardware unless we absolutely had to. I read that our BE 9.1 can use external disk drives for backup but has anyone tried this using the Linksys Network Storage Link (NSLU2) that adapts a USB HD into a network storage unit? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
